The wolverine is the largest land-dwelling species of the Mustelidae or weasel family (the Giant Otter is largest
overall), and is the only species currently classified in the genus Gulo meaning "glutton"
The adult wolverine is about the size of a medium dog, with a length usually ranging from 25-34 inches, a tail of 7-10
inches, and weight of 22-55 lb. Males are as much as 30 percent larger than the females
